SCAdian of the month
Lady Tessa de Spina
Per saltire azure and vert, a saltire and in chief a dragonfly argent.
When did you start in the SCA?
I think it was 2005,but it could be earlier than that.
Where did you start your SCA adventure?
What is your favorite part of the SCA?
What was your most memorable event in the SCA so far?
Do not remember the year, but it was my first Kingdom Arts and Sciences Festival, it was held in Virginia Beach. I put in my application for my name and device at the festival. But the whole event was magical with all the talent on exhibit, all the merchants, all the wonderful comradery.
What would you tell a newcomer to look forward to in the SCA?
I think the greatest part of the SCA has been the blending of all sorts of people, all sorts of talents(those we know we have and those we have no clue about), all ages, all ethnicity. I once told a friend interested in joining that in some ways the SCA was the most accepting group of people I knew. It is the one place you can be yourself, while you learn who you are. A place to explore, to learn, and to adventure.
