Evening Ball

The day will conclude with a spectacular ball led by Lord Galeran Chanterel, who has previously led successful balls at Atlantian Twelfth Night and various other events. We will begin with a short Caroso Ball, a performance style attested in period, and then move to open dancing. Dances will be called during the main ball. A middle eastern dance & drum circle will be conducted simultaneously.

Questions about the ball? Wish to request a favorite dance? E-mail Lord Galeran at bsidlauskas@gmail.com.

Caroso Ball

Between court and the start of the main dancing, we will conduct a short ball in the style recommended by Master Fabritio Caroso in the 16th century. This is much like a bardic circle for dancers, and couples or single sets will take turns presenting dances for everyone else to watch and enjoy. All are welcome to take a turn dancing at the Caroso Ball, and may choose any dance from the list below. You should also feel free to come watch only. There is no need to pick a complicated dance (though you may!), as there is beauty in even the simplest dance performed with grace and a light heart. Show us your stuff! Here is the list of dances for which music is available.
